Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Contract Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service along the way. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods across designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload items using hand trucks when necessary, ensuring proper handling of all food materials.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery details and address any issues that arise during transit.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and proper functioning of the vehicle.
- Assist in other activities including moving inventory,
organizing stock, and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks regularly, ensuring safe practices are followed at all times.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service by engaging positively with clients during deliveries and addressing their questions or concerns.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in commercial driving or warehouse work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks comfortably.
- Valid G driver’s license with a clear record
