Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee residential high-rise construction projects throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality. This role supports projects from pre-construction and design through construction, commissioning, and final turnover.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
Location: Halifax Head Office and local construction sites
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate projects through all stages of construction.
- Develop and maintain schedules, including short-term and six-week look-ahead planning.
- Coordinate Site Superintendents, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
- Assist with subcontract administration and monitor trade performance.
- Track project changes, costs, budgets, forecasts, and purchase orders using Procore.
- Review progress claims and support monthly financial reporting.
- Lead project and trade meetings and follow up on outstanding items.
- Support quality control, deficiency resolution, commissioning, warranty, and project closeout.
- Promote safe, organized, and collaborative project execution.
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of construction project management or coordination experience.
- Background in residential, multi-unit, high-rise, or commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, drawings, and project delivery.
- Experience with Procore or comparable construction management software.
- Construction Management, Engineering, or Construction Technology education is an asset.
- Solid communication, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Experience working with subcontractors and consultants is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
