Repair shop in Scarborough needs a motivated EXPERIENCED or ENTRY LEVEL technician or eager to learn individual looking to grow their career in the automotive industry.

ABOUT US

Our shop was founded over 25 years ago and is a family-run repair shop. We specialize in Suspension and front end repair on fleet vehicles and trucks. We offer a wide range of repair services for fleet vehicles, from general maintenace, to customized work and major overhauls.

Our state-of-the-art facility has 5 pits and 4 hoists.

The shop is open to customers from 8 am - 5 pm

Looking for a Licensed Automotive Mechanic/ Truck & Coach Mechanic (310S or 310T or both- Ideally, but not required if there is multiple years of experience)for an oppurtunity to work on light to heavy duty vehicles. Ideally looking for someone who has some truck servicing and repairs experience as well as front-end experience, but any autmotive experience is welcomed. With this prospect, you will have the ability to expand on your knowledge and skill by working on many different applications from some large corporations and mucipalties to your everyday vehicles. You will be working in a long standing and established business, to build a career in Toronto. Aiding in keeping critical logistics online and utility vehicles on the road for essential and emergency use, especially being in Canada where the weather can really take a toll on major components, from salt and cold that increase wear and tear.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of vehicles

Create repair orders

Diagnose Vehicle issues or complaints

perform repairs safely
Diagnose and repair front end issues

Diagnose and repair different vehicle braking systems
Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, be able to bend, crouch, & walk without discomfort
Keep the work area organized and tidy in compliance with WSIB standards

performing inspections and keeping an eye out for critical defects,



and paying attention to the details.

Detailed duties

Bonus if experienced in alignments and front end repair & diagnosis

Perform front end work on a variety of vehicles

Perform alignments and front end diagnosis

-Install ball joints, shocks and struts, lowering/raising kits, tie rods, and other vehicle components.

-Identify issues with the front end of vehicles

-diagnosis of engines, electircal issues, suspension, and brake issues, etc

-Performing inspections & identifing safety issues to keep vehicles on the road- Peforming DOT inspections if applicable

-Diagnose and repair A/C systems, tune-ups, tire rotations & repairs, rim balancing, brake repairs/replacement, and servicing from heavy duty to light duty, engine servicing, engine overhaul and repair, radiator replacement, exhaust system repair, lighting and electrical repair and replacement, etc.

-Aiding in all types of diagnoses that come through

-Keeping detailed work orders and track of parts used to complete the job

-Helping and aiding in work performed by fellow peers, following up if the repair was completed properly with apprentices or new hire

-making suring all work has been completed as necessary

-reporting any issues to management

-joining meetings on improving customer turnaround and the quality of work completed

-offering up new ideas constantly to improve efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

You are able to work the shop’s 8am-5pm hours (flex time also available).

License is an asset

Willingness to learn repair aspects and suspension mechanics.

Perform repair duties and assist other technicians and mechanics perform repairs.

Punctuality and respectfulness of others and work area expected.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
