Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join a new dental practice in the South Cambie area.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing excellent patient service, and supporting the administrative functions of the office. This role is vital in ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining an efficient office environment.
Candidates with dental office experience and proficiency in electronic medical records (Tracker) are highly preferred. The position offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, patient-focused setting, with room for growth.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures efficiently
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar (Tracker).
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (Tracker)
- Verify patient insurance information and process payments accurately.
- Handle multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, confirm appointments, and provide general information.
- Assist with patient correspondence and follow-up communications
- Manage administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
- Support the dental team with administrative needs to ensure smooth daily operations
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized,
and welcoming at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental/medical office setting is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Tracker as dental practice management software. Training available.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and electronic medical records systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently and professionally
- Office experience with administrative responsibilities including scheduling, billing, and insurance processing
- Familiarity with front desk operations and administrative procedures in dental settings
- Solid organizational skills with attention to detail, professionalism.
