About the Role: SAKO-CRETE Systems is looking for a reliable, hardworking General Labourer to join our gypsum substrate and floor underlayment crew. We specialize in pouring leveled floors for residential and commercial projects. This is a physical, fast-paced job that requires early starts, stamina, and a valid driver's license to help transport our crew and equipment to various job sites around the city.

No previous flooring substrate experience is necessary—we will train the right person. If you are dependable, comfortable with heavy physical labor, and have a clean driving record, we want to hear from you.

What You Will Do:

- Drive: Safely operate company vehicles (trucks/vans) to transport crew, tools, and materials to and from job sites.
- Site Prep: Getting hoses onto floor, helping position pump into location and organize crew tools
- Hose Management: Pull, manage, and clean heavy concrete hoses during the pumping process.
- Finishing & Cleanup: Assist the pour crew, scrape floors once the gypcrete sets, and meticulously clean all pumps, hoses, and tools at the end of the day.
- Material Handling: Load and unload bags of material, tools, and equipment (lifting up to 50+ lbs repeatedly).

What We Require (Dealbreakers):

- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License:



You must be legally allowed to drive in Alberta and be able to provide a clean driver’s abstract.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently, bend, kneel, and stay on your feet for long shifts.
- Reliability: Our pours are strictly scheduled. Showing up on time for early morning starts is non-negotiable.
- Safety Gear: Must have your own CSA-approved steel-toed boots and hard-hat (we provide other necessary PPE like masks, safety glasses, and gloves).
- Attitude: Willingness to learn, get dirty, and work hard as part of a team.

Assets (Not Required, but a Big Plus!):

- Equipment Operation: Experience operating a skid steer (Bobcat) for site cleanup and material movement.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience with gypcrete, concrete pumping, or floor prep.
- Towing: Experience driving trucks with trailers, including backing up and parking safely.
- Safety Tickets: Valid First Aid, CSTS, or Fall Protection certifications.
