Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Millwright to join our team.

This position will be for a regular continental shift at our customer's location in St. Mary's. Shift will be rotating (but straight nights is available also).

NOTE - Dual trade certification is considered an asset, and compensation will reflect the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex machinery and equipment across our production facilities. Your expertise will ensure optimal operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards. As a licensed professional, you will play a key part in supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high-quality manufacturing processes.

Duties

- Install, align, and assemble machinery using schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to ensure precise setup and operation.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using analysis skills and diagnostic tools such as schematics and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Conduct repairs involving welding, mechanical adjustments, electrical work—including low voltage systems—and replacement of worn or broken parts.
- Inspect machinery for safety hazards or malfunctions; perform routine inspections and document findings in compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with industrial electricians to troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), control panels,



and electrical systems.
- Support boiler operation and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records, update CMMS entries regularly, and assist in planning scheduled shutdowns or upgrades.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with production teams to minimize disruptions during maintenance activities.

Requirements

- Valid license as a Millwright with proven experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience working with schematics, industrial electrical systems, HVAC units, boilers, and welding techniques.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage electrical systems, and CMMS software.
- Knowledge of industrial electrician practices combined with electrical experience in troubleshooting control systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints accurately for installation and repairs.
- Excellent analysis skills to diagnose issues efficiently and implement effective solutions quickly.
- Solid communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy equipment, working at heights or confined spaces as required.

Pay: $42.00-$48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
