About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager for a long-term engagement supporting complex and strategic information technology initiatives in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects through the complete project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and project closure. The role requires robust capabilities in scope, schedule, budget, resource, quality, risk, issue, dependency, vendor and stakeholder management.

This is a senior-level position requiring an individual who can work effectively with executives, business representatives, technical teams, procurement professionals, vendors and third-party service providers.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior IT Project Manager will:

- Develop comprehensive project plans in consultation with project leadership and obtain appropriate sponsor approvals.
- Lead complex IT projects from initiation through implementation and closure.
- Apply established project management methodologies, processes and documentation aligned with PMI best practices.
- Establish and facilitate project governance structures, including executive steering committees.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Monitor project performance and provide clear and timely status reporting to project sponsors, executives and key stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, mitigate and manage project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and manage change requests involving scope, schedule, budget and resources.
- Facilitate workshops, project meetings, presentations and stakeholder working sessions.
- Coordinate activities and dependencies across related projects and initiatives.
- Manage relationships and deliverables involving external vendors, service providers and business partners.
- Lead organizational change management activities, including stakeholder engagement,



communications, impact and readiness assessments, training coordination and user-adoption planning.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within approved budgets and scope, and in accordance with applicable quality, governance and technical requirements.

Mandatory Qualifications

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

PMP or PRINCE2 Certification
A current Project Management Qualified (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification is mandatory. Candidates must be able to provide a copy of their certification.

On-Site Availability
The successful candidate must be available to work 100% in person at a Government of Saskatchewan office in Regina, Saskatchewan. This is not a remote or hybrid opportunity.

Risk Management – Ability to proactively identify risks and issues and develop practical mitigation strategies.

Organizational Change Management – Experience supporting stakeholder readiness, communications, training and user adoption.
