Flame & Barrel is an independent, and locally owned restaurant and bar in the Windermere, SW, Edmonton. We are Edmonton’s answer to “where can we eat that we’ll enjoy” With quality drinks, a diverse globally inspired menu, exceptional staff, we strive to make restaurant guest dining experience one they will remember.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced cook to join our kitchen team.
Successful candidates will have experience and be able to demonstrate competency in the following areas:
Follow the recipe and fine attention to detail while presenting food.
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
- Cooks’ food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
Must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Successful candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a full-service Restaurant/kitchen. Diploma or degree in hotel and restaurant management is a plus.
