The Barking Parrot Bar is the Penticton Lakeside Resort’s maelstrom—a place where good times, great food, and stunning views come together—and we are looking for a highly-motivated and dynamic Manager to lead our front-of-house team!

As Manager of The Barking Parrot Bar, you will oversee our team of bartenders, servers, and bussers while managing daily operations, maintaining a high-energy and focused team environment. Driven by a vibrant atmosphere, community connection, and exciting events, our goal is to deliver a casual yet elevated bar experience centred around exceptional guest experiences.

Core Responsibilities

*Operations & Guest Experience

- Collaborate with ownership, management, and the Executive Chef to develop and maintain an engaging and profit-driven food & beverage program
- Direct all daily front-of-house operations to maintain high service standards, efficient service, and a welcoming atmosphere
- Collaborate with other departments to align with hotel occupancy and events
- Event creating, planning, budgeting and execution
- Respond to business-related emails, phone calls and/or online feedback and reviews

*Management & Administration





- Scheduling the FOH team to ensure great service while managing labour costs
- Complete payroll entry on a weekly basis
- Adhere and enforce liquor laws as per our liquor license
- Create and foster relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Attend monthly management meetings

*Team Engagement

- Complete Interviewing, hiring, and onboarding for all FOH positions
- Employee training covering the employee handbook, company policies, liquor laws & licensing, food safety requirements, daily tasks and duties, and service excellence
- Maintain a positive, energetic and fun work environment
- Drive strong guest-centric operations through continuous coaching and training

Requirements

- Robust leadership ability
- Solid customer service and problem solving skills
- Flexible schedule with ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Excellent multitasking skills and effective time management
- Effective and organized with attention to detail
- Must hold a valid Serving It Right certificate
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
