Overview - Seasonal Environmental Field Technician

Gas Recon Inc. is looking for Seasonal Field Technicians to join our growing environmental services division. Based in NE Calgary, our services include fugitive emission monitoring and aerial laser and photographic mapping services for clients across Canada.

Responsibilities

- As part of your role, you will be responsible for using navigational skills to locate and assess natural gas distribution systems in a variety of environments.
- You will receive training in the operation of the leak detection hardware and line locating procedures.
- This position requires travel, with extended deployments in the field. The work schedule will be determined as required to meet client requirements.




- The requirements of the job do require extensive walking outdoors on a daily basis to carry out our surveys. This role is well suited for those who enjoy the outdoors and physical activity.

Qualifications

- Applicants must have a strong drivers abstract, a Class 5 license and be willing to travel.
- Knowledge of GPS/GIS software and first aid training is an asset.
