Overview

We are seeking a dedicated AZ Driver specializing in domestic transportation to join our team operating out of Stratford. This role involves safely and efficiently transporting freight within regional routes, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to safety regulations. This pays $24.48/hour on payroll only.

Duties

- Operate commercial vehicles with an AZ license to transport freight across designated domestic routes from Stratford.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including heavy equipment and safety features.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Maintain accurate documentation for each delivery, including manifests, delivery receipts, and safety logs.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.




- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for loading or unloading operations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to commercial driving and freight handling.

Experience

- Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving within a regional or local setting.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, including forklifts or similar machinery.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety standards.
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road.
- Experience in operating heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety procedures.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
