Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately while adhering to all legal and safety regulations
- Provide medication counseling and answer patient questions with clarity and confidence
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy plans
- Maintain detailed records of medication administration and patient interactions
- Monitor for potential drug interactions or contraindications, ensuring patient safety
- Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and expiration checks
- Educate patients on proper medication usage, storage,
and potential side effects
Requirements
- Valid pharmacist license in good standing with relevant licensing boards
- Prior hospital experience or acute care experience is highly preferred
- Experience working with pediatric patients and understanding pediatric medication needs
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and support patients and healthcare teams
- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment
