Buffalo Airways is seeking a motivated and experienced Trainer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering training programs as required to support employee development and ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and applicable industry standards.This role also involves creating training materials, maintaining accurate training records and employee training files, and monitoring employee training requirements and certifications.

Job Summary

The Training Manager owns the end-to-end flight operations training ecosystem, This role ensures regulatory compliance, manages, critical pilot training records, designs modern courseware and mentors Training Captains to deliver uplifting, high-quality instruction.

Key Responsibilities

1.Curriculum Development & Modernization

- Build interactive courses using contemporary instructional design tools (LMS,e-learning software,multimedia).
- Design training materials for both online self-paced environment and traditional paper classroom settings.

2.Regulatory Compliance & Continous Updates

- Monitor regulatory changes (e.g Transport Canada) and aircraft manufacturer updates (e.g. Boeing,Beech,Lockheed,De Havilland Aircraft,Air Tractor,Canadair,,Rockwell international bulletins)
- Update Trainig Manual continously to mirror the newest aviation procedures and safety protocols.
- Revise existing courses immediately following any updates to regulations or manufacturer manuals.

3.Record Keeping & Audit Readiness





- Control pilot training files rigorously to ensure zero expiration of occurenies,ratings, or mandatory checks.
- Maintain flawless tracking systems that flag upcoming training deadlines proactively.
- Prepare audit packages (both paper and digital formats) for seamless quarterly interval reviews and external civil aviation authority audits.

4.Train-the-Trainer & Leadership Coaching

- Standardize Training Captains by teaching them modern audit learning principles and effective instructional techniques.
- Foster a positive culture ensuring Captains share their professional experience in a learning,constructtive, and uplifting way.
- Audit instructional quality to maintain consistency across different aircraft types and training fleets.

Qualifications and Skills

- Experience: 3+ years in aviation training management,instructional design, or a similar regulatory environment.
- Compliance Knowledge: Deep familiarity with civil aviation regulations,flight operations training manuals, and auidt processes.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMLS) and course authoring tools (e.g Articulate Storyline,Adobe Captive).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional mentorship abilities to coach senior pilots into empathetic,highly effective educators.

Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
