Job Title: Transportation Coordinator (Afternoon Shift)
Location: Cambridge, ON
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour + vacation pay
Type: Temporary (6 months with possibility of extension)
Schedule: Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Training: 10–12 weeks, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Kelly Services is hiring on behalf of our client in Cambridge for a Transportation Coordinator role. This position supports evening transportation operations, acting as the main point of contact for customers, drivers, and carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as primary contact for customers, drivers, and carriers during afternoon/evening operations
- Provide shipment updates and respond to inquiries via phone, email, and dispatch systems
- Monitor trips to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
- Assign loads and coordinate with drivers and dispatch teams as needed
- Track shipment activity using Trimble and update internal systems
- Handle after-hours issues including delays, breakdowns, and missed pickups
- Coordinate with maintenance or road service for equipment issues
- Escalate urgent issues to day-shift teams when required
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and exception documentation
- Ensure smooth shift handoffs between teams

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in transportation/logistics required
- Supply Chain education is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
