Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC programs to produce precision components. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC programming, and experience with various manufacturing tools and software. The CNC Programmer will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure efficient and accurate machining processes.
YOU MUST HAVE MILLWORK/WOODWORKING CNC EXPERIENCE
Responsibilities
- Develop and modify CNC programs for milling machines, lathes, and other CNC equipment using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and CAD tools.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce accurate machining instructions.
- Set up CNC machines, including CNC lathe and CNC milling machines, ensuring proper tooling and calibration.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other manufacturing machinery as needed for setup or troubleshooting.
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts using calipers and other measurement tools to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain documentation of programs, setups, and production data for quality control purposes.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to improve processes using lean manufacturing principles.
- Assist in assembly, welding, or other related tasks when required to support production goals.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all machining and manufacturing activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with CNC programming on Fanuc controls is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Zlog, Maestro or similar design tools.
- Experience with CNC lathe and CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic math skills for calculating measurements, tolerances, and machining parameters.
- Familiarity with machining tools including calipers, hand tools, power tools
- Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications effectively.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency.
Job Types: Part time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
