We’re looking for an Accountant to join a growing construction company that is going through an exciting period of expansion. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to bring their accounting function in house and hire someone who wants to grow alongside the organization.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys more than simply processing transactions. You’ll have the opportunity to identify gaps, improve processes, strengthen financial controls, and bring greater structure and visibility to the accounting function. Your ideas and attention to detail will have a direct impact on the business.

The Accountant will be responsible for supporting the day to day accounting function, managing vendor and subcontractor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing meaningful financial information to support the company’s continued growth.

Accountant responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable, including vendor and subcontractor invoices
- Complete account reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records
- Oversee accounting entries and assist with the preparation of financial statements
- Monitor project costing, budgets, purchase orders, and project spending limits




- Investigate discrepancies and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure project financial information is accurate and up to date
- Identify potential financial concerns and proactively communicate recommendations to leadership

The successful candidate has:

- 3+ years of progressive accounting experienced
- Advanced QuickBooks experience is essential
- Experience working within a growing organization and improving accounting processes
- A proactive and collaborative approach with the confidence to raise concerns and recommend solutions

Compensation and benefits:

- The salary range is $80,000 – $100,000 per year depending on experience
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
