Responsibilities
- Assist customers by providing friendly service, answering questions about products, and offering recommendations
- Cash handling - taking payments in the form of cash or card
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Maintaining a clean, organizing store front and work area
- Making coffees using an espresso machine to make lattes, cappuccinos, americanos etc
- Slicing deli meats and cheeses
- Serving food from a hot table
- Package bakery items
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to handle food safely by following food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices
- Ability to work in a fast paced workplace
