A Locally Owned & Operated Collision Repair Shop Is Seeking a Journeyman or Minimum Level 3 Apprentice, Automotive Mechanic.

Our Client is a well-established and trusted name in auto body repair and MPI direct repair collision services, known for quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service, and they are currently seeking a Journeyman or Level 3 Automotive Mechanic to join their mechanical team.
Your Role
As an Automotive Mechanic specializing in diagnosing and repairing collision-damaged vehicles, including 4-wheel drive, electrical and electronic systems, diagnostics, alignment, steering and suspension, brake systems, fuel and emission systems, ignition and electrical systems, drivetrain components, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Required Experience, Education and Certification
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Journeyman or Minimum Level 3 Apprentice
- Asset: Experience with MPI.
- Asset: Experience using Mitchell Connect.
- Asset: Experience using Repair Center.
- Experience using document scanners, database software, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Responsibilities
Automotive Service Technician
- Performs accurate and complete vehicle inspections and diagnostics.
- Road test vehicles – both Automatic and Manual transmissions.
- Test automotive systems and components.
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
- Estimate parts and labour costs.
- Utilize Mitchell Connect & Mitchell 1 to receive assignments and track progress.
Mechanical Repairer – Required Skills
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
- Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components.
- Test and adjust units to specifications.
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Required Tools, Equipment & Licences
- A Valid Class 5F drivers license.
- Tools of the trade
