CARE Industries is currently looking for a reliable and self-motivated Drafter to join our team and become apart of our growing history. This is a full-time permanent position located at our Blackfalds, Alberta facility.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain a daily onsite presence at CARE’s facility.
- Support the fabrication process by collaborating with welders, the shop foreman, and project managers to assist with troubleshooting and drawing clarifications as needed.
- Actively participate in CARE’s Quality Program.
- Monitor assigned projects as they progress through fabrication, taking a proactive approach to supporting them through to completion.
- Assist in design and development by collaborating with Engineers, Project Managers, and Customers to propose conceptual solutions, develop models and drawings, present designs for review, execute CAD modelling, and deliver fabrication drawings to project managers.
- Take initiative to research and integrate existing component solutions into design projects.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
- Maintain an organized workflow using existing file management systems.
- Create and maintain technical documents for select products, including instructions, schematics,
and operation manual visuals.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Proficient and experienced in the use of CAD software with preference to Inventor, Vault, and AutoCAD. Also, Microsoft Office applications.
- Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a team setting while prioritizing projects and managing time effectively.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.·
Education and Experience:
- Engineering design and technology diploma
- 2-5 years related work experience.
- Familiar with Industry Standards (ASME/API/etc.)
- Previous experience designing/drafting equipment related to the Oil and Gas, Concrete or Agricultural Industry is an asset.
Compensation & Perks:
- Salary Range CA$27.00 – $38.00/Hour
- $1.00/Hr. RRSP Matching after completion of 1 Year of continuous Service
- Alberta Blue Cross Benefit Package including Extended Health care, Dental, Vision, Long Term Disability & Life Insurance, after Probationary period (90-day) completion.
- Overtime after 8 Hours per day and 44 Hrs. per week as required.

Pay: $27.00-$38.00 per hour
