We are looking for a Senior Product & Delivery Manager to join our Product team on a permanent basis. This position is open to Vancouver based individuals and is fully remote.
About Zaui
At Zaui, quality is at the heart of everything we build. We are a small but fun team!
For over two decades, Zaui's enterprise-level tour and reservation management software has helped tour and activity operators manage operations, grow bookings and create all-round memorable guest experiences.
We have a big vision of the future of technology in the tourism industry, and we're excited to be part of shaping it. We are looking for creative and highly skilled individuals to join our team and help us on our way to becoming an innovative leader in our industry.
As a Senior Product & Delivery Manager at Zaui, you will be the operating engine of our domain-based product model - ensuring we solve the right problems, in the right domains, with clear specifications, ownership and execution discipline, so that prioritized work reliably moves from signal to customer outcome. You'll combine product judgement, technical fluency, delivery leadership and product operations, working closely with engineering, domain owners and the Product Strategy Group (PSG) — making the system work without replacing anyone's ownership.
The ideal candidate is a versatile product operator who's equally comfortable facilitating executive-level prioritization discussions, writing a tight specification, and unblocking an engineer mid-sprint. You bring strong technical fluency, sharp judgement about what's worth building, and the discipline to keep work moving from decision to customer outcome. You're a natural translator between business and engineering language, and you use AI tools to accelerate your own workflow.
Sound like you?
As a Senior Product & Delivery Manager, you will:
Product Strategy Group & Portfolio Operations
- Act as operational owner and facilitator of the PSG, preparing prioritization material and maintaining the Group Roadmap and decision log
- Ensure incoming signals carry enough customer, commercial, strategic and operational context to support good decisions
- Drive explicit decisions on whether work should be done, deferred, rejected, configured, productized, customized or investigated
- Ensure every approved initiative has a domain, an accountable owner, an intended outcome and a success metric
- Surface cross-domain priority conflicts, dependencies and unresolved decisions, and follow through on PSG actions
- Maintain portfolio visibility without becoming the central backlog owner for every domain
Domain Ownership
- Own two product domains - Reservations & Inventory, and Operations & Fulfillment - including their roadmaps and outcomes
- Consolidate signals from customers, Sales, Customer Success, Support, telemetry, strategic initiatives and market needs
- Shape problems, desired outcomes and product behaviour before work enters delivery
- Ensure strong specifications, acceptance criteria, edge cases and stakeholder alignment exist before engineering execution
- Work directly with engineers through implementation while preserving engineering ownership of architecture and technical standards
- Own product-side release readiness, release communication inputs, enablement needs and post-release learning
- Review adoption, telemetry,
defects and customer reaction after release and feed learning back into the domain roadmap
Delivery Leadership
- Drive prioritized work from decision through completion and customer outcome
- Prevent time drift by establishing clear ownership, dates, dependencies, next actions and escalation paths
- Identify and resolve blockers rather than simply reporting them
- Ensure scope and intended outcomes are understood before development starts
- Challenge unclear commitments, missing decisions and unresolved dependencies
- Maintain strong alignment among Domain Owners, engineers and relevant business stakeholders through matrix authority
- Escalate material delivery risks and trade-offs to PSG or the CEO when required
Product Operations & AI-Augmented Workflow
- Improve the end-to-end signal PSG domain roadmap specification delivery release learning process
- Help Domain Owners improve product thinking, prioritization, specification quality and outcome ownership
- Use AI tools extensively to normalize information, interrogate technical material, improve specifications and accelerate product operations
- Support increasingly automated intake, documentation, release intelligence and corporate learning workflows
- Ensure the product model scales through stronger domain capability rather than centralizing all product work in this role
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Spend approximately 10-20% of time in customer-facing product discovery, validation and high-value product discussions
- Engage directly with Customer Success, Sales, Solutions and enterprise stakeholders when product clarification or validation is needed
- Translate effectively between customer/business language and engineering language
- Protect the product from customer-specific fragmentation by distinguishing reusable product capabilities from bespoke requests
The role does not:
- Have formal people-management responsibility.
- Unilaterally allocate engineering personnel.
- Own engineering architecture, code approval or technical standards.
- Replace Domain Owners.
- Set portfolio priorities outside the PSG governance process.
- Act as project manager for every enterprise customer.
- Accept feature commitments from Sales or Customer Success without appropriate product governance.
- Become the universal specification writer or administrative Jira owner.
Own Product Design or every customer communication.
This may be the right opportunity for you if you have:
- Technical product professional with strong project and delivery management capability
- Typically 7-12+ years of relevant B2B SaaS experience
- Likely background in technical product, implementation, solutions architecture, integrations or a related technical discipline before moving into product leadership
- Demonstrated ownership of technically complex SaaS products or product surfaces
- Strong experience managing concurrent initiatives and driving work across teams without direct reporting authority
- Excellent written communication and ability to turn ambiguity into structured decisions and executable work
- Strong customer and stakeholder communication skills
- Commercial judgement and ability to say no when work does not support product or strategic priorities
- High agency, urgency and follow-through without creating unnecessary process
- AI-native working style and willingness to use modern AI tools as a normal part of product and delivery work
Technical Fluency – Expected Level
This is not an engineering role. The successful candidate must, however, be technically credible enough to work effectively with senior engineers and independently understand the implications of product decisions.
- Understand API requests/responses and discuss API behaviour
- Understand basic data models, dependencies and integration concepts
- Follow architecture discussions and ask informed questions
- Understand how changes can affect adjacent surfaces such as booking flows, back-office operations, integrations, mobile and reporting
- Read technical specifications, ADRs, logs and technical documentation sufficiently to orient themselves and make product decisions
- Use AI tools to interrogate technical material and improve specification quality
Coding proficiency, algorithm interviews, deep DevOps expertise or engineer-level system design are not requirements.
