Position: Full-time, approximately 40 hours/week

Compensation: $28–$30/hour to start, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 9am-5pm but require some flexibility on exact daily hours

We are a busy family looking for a warm, highly reliable and proactive Family Assistant / Nanny & Household Manager to become a long-term part of our household.

Our family splits our time between two homes — one in West Vancouver and one in Kitsilano. The successful candidate will work from both locations depending on where the family is staying, so comfort travelling between the two homes is important.

This is a varied role combining childcare, household management, and cleaning. We are looking for someone who takes pride in keeping a home organized and running smoothly, while also being an experienced and confident caregiver.

Responsibilities will vary throughout the day and will include:

Childcare

- Caring for our infant during the day once Mom returns to work
- Being home for our school-aged children when they return from school
- Driving children to and from activities as needed (Class 5 BC Driver's License required)
- Preparing snacks and occasional meals for the children
- Helping keep the children organized for school, sports, and activities
- Creating a safe, warm, and engaging environment for our baby
- Managing age-appropriate routines, naps, feeding, and activities

Household Management & Cleaning

- General cleaning and maintaining both homes to a high standard
- Kitchen cleaning and daily kitchen reset / grocery shopping
- Bathroom cleaning
- Vacuuming and floor cleaning
- Laundry,



folding and putting clothes away
- Changing and laundering bed linens
- Keeping bedrooms and common areas clean and organized
- General household organization and decluttering
- Keeping children’s rooms, toys and activity areas organized
- Monitoring household supplies and replenishing items as needed
- Helping ensure both homes remain organized and ready for the family’s arrival

Family Assistance

- Grocery shopping and household errands
- Returns, pickups and drop-offs
- Basic family meal preparation
- Helping coordinate children’s activities and schedules
- Preparing children’s clothing, equipment and supplies for school and activities
- Anticipating household needs and helping the family stay organized
- Helping manage items and supplies between our West Vancouver and Kitsilano homes

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal person is proactive, organized and genuinely enjoys both caring for children and managing a household. We would particularly value someone who:

- Has robust previous nanny, family assistant, or household management experience
- Has meaningful experience caring for infants
- Is comfortable independently caring for a baby
- Is an excellent and confident driver with a clean driving record




- Is comfortable working regularly from both West Vancouver and Kitsilano
- Is highly dependable and punctual
- Is organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Takes initiative rather than waiting to be given a list of tasks
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean and well-organized home
- Communicates well and is comfortable working closely with parents
- Is looking for a stable, long-term position with a family

Compensation & Employment

We are offering a starting compensation range of $28–$30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications, with consistent/guaranteed weekly hours.

The position will be established as formal employment with appropriate payroll deductions and paid vacation/statutory holidays in accordance with B.C. employment requirements.

About Our Family

We are looking for more than occasional childcare. We want someone who can become a trusted and important part of our family’s day-to-day life.

We are a blended family with three school-age children that we have 50% of the time, and a newborn that we have 100% of the time.

The right person will have considerable independence and responsibility within our homes. We value someone who sees what needs to be done, takes ownership of it, communicates well and helps make family life run more smoothly.

Qualifications

- Class 5 BC Driver's License required
- Infant CPR/First Aid certification
- Strong references and a background check will be required.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
