Twilight Holdings Ltd. looking for a LIVE-IN CAREGIVER - SENIORS working out of Westerose, Alberta. We are looking for a compassionate experienced caregiver who enjoys working with the elderly and dementia patients.
Job description
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living
- Housekeeping, cleaning, and some aspects of personal care
- Laundering clothing and household linens
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Care for pets
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health status
- Reliable with their shifts and duties
- Communicate with employer (family member) daily or when requested
- Capable of following safety procedures and health standards
Work Setting:
- Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note that this is NOT a condition of employment
- Work in employer's/client's home
- Location is in a Rural area
- Travel to clients’ medical appointments and shop for food and household supplies
- This position works Monday through Friday; however, it occasionally may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the clients.
Personal Suitability:
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Available to work 40 hours per week
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Knowledge of people with dementia and/or previous work experience is an asset
- A dependable vehicle and unrestricted Drivers License would be an asset
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
