Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and skilled Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight and equipment, operating heavy machinery, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, and efficiency. Our Drivers play a crucial role in moving Canada's economy forward by moving goods and materials across Canada and the USA. Which contributes to the overall success of our logistics operations. Active Transport is 1 company with 2 amazing opportunities.

First, we have a heavy haul flatbed division that operates mainly within Ontario, with occasional day trips to Michigan and Current York. Active Transport moves structural steel, oversize loads, building products, precast concrete products, bridge girders (up to 60m200 ft total length) and more. The work IS hard and the pay is very good. Currently, we are hiring Company Drivers who have 2 years AZ flatbed experience.

Secondly, we have a dry bulk division, the lanes are GTA and Montreal, must be able to work weekends. We are only hiring Owner-Operators for this division, at this time.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight, equipment, and materials between designated locations.




- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes.

Qualifications

- Valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- 2+ years AZ Driving experience
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and safety procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $31.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
