Elite Iron Design Inc. is looking for a reliable Carpentry / Cabinetry Helper to join our team in Mississauga. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience or familiarity with woodworking, cabinetry, furniture, or similar carpentry work.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of wood components, including stair treads, landings and handrails
- Operate woodworking machinery and use hand and power tools to cut, shape, sand and prepare wood components
- Safely use and maintain carpentry tools and equipment
- Read and follow measurements, drawings and project specifications
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while meeting project deadlines
- Collaborate with other team members, including architectural/drafting and production staff
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Assist with material handling and other shop duties as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Please note: This is a custom stair/woodworking position. This is NOT a framing position.

- Basic knowledge of wood materials and woodworking techniques
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Ability to take and follow measurements accurately
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good organization and time management
- Willingness to learn and develop current skills.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in carpentry, cabinetry, woodworking, or a related field is an asset
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Able to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; occasional weekend availability may be required.
- Able to reliably commute to our shop in Mississauga for a 7:00 AM start
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Language: Basic English required; Spanish is an asset

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
