Position Summary

We’re a growing engineering and manufacturing company based in Guelph, Ontario. We specialize in custom assembly and manufacturing solutions. Our custom fabrication team is seeking a Laser Programmer/Operator & Brake Press Operator.

The Laser & Brake Press Operator is responsible for operating CNC laser cutting and press brake equipment to produce high-quality metal parts according to drawings and specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Program, set up, and operate CNC laser cutting and press brake equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Select appropriate materials, tooling, and programs for each job
- Perform machine setups, adjustments, and minor troubleshooting
- Inspect finished parts using appropriate measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality
- Plan and coordinate fabrication jobs to meet production schedules and customer requirements
- Determine material requirements for upcoming jobs
- Order sheet metal, tooling, and other materials required for production

Education & Experience

- 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication, laser cutting, press brake operation, or a related manufacturing environment
- Strong experience operating and setting up CNC laser and press brake equipment
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred




- Experience training or directing other employees is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Strong understanding of metal types, thicknesses, tolerances, and fabrication processes
- Experience with material purchasing and job planning is an asset
- Experience with quoting, estimating, customer service, or job costing is an asset
- Trade school, machinist, fabrication, or related technical training is an asset

Work Week:

Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $34.00-$45.00 per hour
