We are looking for an experienced and motivated Dental Hygiene Coordinator to lead and support the hygiene department in our clinic. This role combines hands-on clinical knowledge with coordination and leadership, making sure our hygiene team delivers consistent, high-quality, patient-centred care every day.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily hygiene operations, including schedules, patient flow, and room readiness
- Manage the hygiene recall system and work with the front desk to keep hygiene schedules full
- Onboard, train, and mentor new and existing dental hygienists
- Develop and maintain hygiene protocols, clinical standards, and best practices
- Ensure infection prevention and control (IPC) and sterilization compliance in line with provincial regulations
- Review charts and clinical notes for accuracy and complete documentation
- Track hygiene production and key metrics, and recommend improvements
- Coordinate hygiene staffing and coverage for vacations and leaves
- Manage hygiene supplies, equipment maintenance, and ordering




- Provide clinical hygiene care as needed

Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Registered and in good standing with the provincial dental hygiene regulatory college
- 2+ years of clinical dental hygiene experience
- Leadership, training, or coordination experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of IPC standards and hygiene best practices
- Experience with dental practice management software
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44.0 per week
