Job Overview

We’re excited to welcome a Rush Buyer to our team—this opportunity has opened due to an internal promotion. In this fast-paced role, you’ll be responsible for quoting and procuring non-stocked, special-order items for our customers, often under tight timelines. Success in this role requires strong communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills.

If you have experience with products like hose, rigging, wire rope, tooling, safety, MRO, fasteners, automotive, or chemicals, or if you’re familiar with indirect distribution, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

- Communicate professionally with suppliers and internal sales teams.
- Source and quote products efficiently to meet customer needs.
- Navigate our inventory and supplier network to find optimal solutions.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to obtain freight quotes and select the best options.
- Expedite orders and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and customer service teams.
- Monitor open orders, backorders, and lost sales reports to adjust inventory as needed.
- Apply logistics knowledge (e.g., Incoterms, packaging, hazardous goods) where applicable.
- Potential to grow into a supervisory role or transition into inventory replenishment.

Qualifications





- Experience with ERP systems and ability to learn new platforms.
- Strong customer service skills—both internal and external.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Logistics or import/export experience is a plus, but not required.

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
