We are seeking an Experienced Mechanical Insulator to join our team. The Insulator will be responsible for installing and cladding mechanical insulation materials in commercial builds. The Insulator will be working in a small team on multiple projects spread out across Vancouver Island. We invest in our people and want to see our employees take their skills to the next level. Duties:

- Read and interpret blueprints to determine insulation requirements

- Work with various types of insulation materials including fiberglass, foam, and mineral wool and finishing materials, PVC, Canvas, & Metal including stainless steel.

- Measure and cut insulation materials to fit various pipes and ducting.

- Install insulation using hand tools such as knives, saws, caulk guns, and tape measures

- Apply caulk, sealants, or other insulation materials to ensure a tight fit

- Forecast and order materials as required.

- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper insulation installation

Skills Required:





- 8+ years Experience installing and finishing insulation including PVC, Canvas & Metal cladding

- Ability to work on Ladders and at heights

- Ability to navigate a construction site.

- Proficiency with hand tools

- Knowledge of caulking techniques

- Drivers License

- Fall Arrest and Elevated Platform Certifications

Job Types: Full time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 weeks

Pay: From $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

- Mechanical Insulation: 6 years (required)

- Driving Licence and Own reliable Transportation (required)
