- Experience with sod, mulch, pavers, retaining walls, grading, and general landscape construction.
- Good understanding of grades, elevations, depths, slopes, widths, levels, measurements, and finished surfaces.

- Reliable personal transportation. Many job sites are not accessible by public transit.
- Own basic PPE, including steel-toe boots and work gloves.
- Willingness to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
- Robust work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

Landscape Construction Responsibilities

- Provide the primary labour for landscape construction projects, including digging, excavation, material handling, surface preparation, grading, and installation.
- Prepare surfaces for pavers, retaining walls, patios, walkways, and other landscape projects using hand tools and Bobcat/skid steer equipment.
- Finish-grade dirt, clay, screened loam, and road crush by hand to achieve the required elevations, depths, widths, slopes, and finished levels.
- Install edging, landscape fabric, mulch, decorative rock, and other landscape materials.
- Assist with the construction and installation of landscapes and hardscapes.
- Load, unload, move, and place materials from trucks and trailers.
- Maintain clean and organized job sites, tools, and equipment.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance,

including greasing machines and checking/filling fuel.

Snow Removal Responsibilities

During the winter season, the position transitions to snow removal work, including:

- Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, pathways, and other areas using shovels, sweepers, and Bobcat/skid steer equipment.
- Work safely and efficiently during snow events and winter conditions.

- Full-time work, normally 40 hours per week.
- Normal start time can be as early as 7:00 a.m., with work extending into the evening when required.
- Weekend work may be required depending on project schedules, weather, and workload.
- Workdays and days off may change from week to week. Weekend work may be followed by a weekday off.
- Additional hours may be required when weather or project deadlines affect the schedule.

Snow Removal Season — Schedule & Compensation

Snow removal is weather-dependent, so work hours and schedules may vary from week to week. Employees must be flexible and available for early-morning, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday work when snowfall requires it.

- Be available to work during snow events, including overnight and early-morning operations.
- Be prepared to work extended hours during significant snowfalls.
- Remain responsive and available during periods of expected or ongoing snowfall.
- Understand that schedules may change with little notice based on snowfall, weather conditions, customer requirements, and operational needs.
- Additional hours may be available during periods of significant snowfall and increased demand.
- Have reliable personal transportation and be able to report to job sites reliably in winter conditions.
