Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Industrial Painter, where your skills will bring precision and quality to our production processes. In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to a variety of industrial components and equipment. Your expertise in painting techniques, mechanical knowledge, and safety protocols will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of durability and appearance. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and power tools safely to access and handle large or heavy parts during painting processes
- Apply primers, paints, coatings, or sealants using spray guns, brushes, or rollers with precision and consistency
- Inspect finished work for quality, uniformity, and adherence to specifications; perform touch-ups as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to coordinate painting schedules and ensure timely completion of projects
- Utilize basic math skills for measuring surfaces, mixing paints, and calculating coverage areas
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, spray equipment, and welding techniques relevant to industrial painting
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing machinery, machining processes, and assembly operations
- Experience operating cranes and forklifts safely within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, or specifications accurately
- Familiarity with welding processes for surface preparation or repairs is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control assessments
