About Guindi
In a profession that's becoming increasingly automated, we believe relationships matter more—not less. That's why we've spent over 40 years combining modern technology with genuinely personal service. Our clients rely on us not just for financial statements, payroll and tax returns, but for advice, strategy, and someone who understands where they're trying to go.
Behind the scenes, we're constantly building better systems, improving processes, and finding smarter ways to work so our team can spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time solving interesting problems.
What You'll Do
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows bookkeeping inside and out—and enjoys helping a team do great work.
You'll lead our bookkeeping function, bringing strong technical expertise, clear direction, and a practical approach to improving how we work. You'll be the person the team turns to for complex questions, technical reviews, and guidance, while helping us build better processes and make the most of modern accounting technology.
The role breaks down like this:
· Technical bookkeeping and review: Review bookkeeping work and financial statements, resolve complex accounting issues, and make sure files are accurate and ready for the next stage.
· Team leadership: Set goals and priorities, review work, and coach the bookkeeping team to maintain quality and help people develop.
· Systems and process improvement: Lead client onboarding and conversions to Xero and other cloud applications, train clients and staff, and improve workflows, efficiency, and profitability.
Beyond that, you'll also:
· Be a go-to resource for technical questions and unusual transactions
· Support e-commerce and payment integrations
· Work closely with Client Advisors to keep files moving
· Use technology and AI thoughtfully to improve how we work
What Makes You a Great Fit
You'll probably fit in well if you:
· Have strong technical accounting knowledge and take pride in getting the details right
· Enjoy leading people and helping them grow
· Communicate clearly and can explain technical information in a way clients and colleagues understand
· Are resourceful, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership
· Enjoy improving processes rather than simply doing things the way they've always been done
· Are comfortable with technology and curious about how AI can make work better
· Have an entrepreneurial mindset and enjoy helping build something better
Qualifications
· Strong bookkeeping and accounting experience, including financial-statement review
· Experience leading a team and developing others
· Robust working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks Online, Dext, and Plooto
· Experience with e-commerce and payment integrations
· Experience onboarding clients to cloud accounting systems and training others
· CPA with 1–2 years of post-qualification experience, or an experienced non-CPA with equivalent technical expertise
What We Offer
· Competitive Base
· Performance bonus opportunities
· Comprehensive health and dental benefits
· Flexible hybrid work environment
· Real ownership of the bookkeeping function and the opportunity to help shape how it operates
· A collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where your ideas matter
· A team that values excellence, accountability, and having fun along the way
If you enjoy getting the accounting right, helping others grow, and finding smarter ways to work, we'd love to meet you.
