Qualifications
- Meets the staffing qualifications according to the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 and the Regulations
- A current Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector
- Evidence of Tuberculosis screening
- Must be able to perform all essential duties of the position with or without accommodation, which may include bending, pushing, pulling, lifting and repetitive movements
Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens in accordance with established procedures and infection prevention and control (IPAC) standards
- Operate laundry equipment (washers, dryers, carts) safely
- Ensure proper separation of soiled, contaminated, and clean items to prevent cross-contamination
- Work collaboratively with all departments to support resident care and comfort
