Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Calgary, Alberta on a Long-term Contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-focused work, can manage a high volume of transactions, and takes pride in maintaining accurate and timely billing and receivables processes. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and clients while supporting month-end activities in a busy, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

- Process a high volume of project invoices through client billing portals and internal systems, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Review project hours, billing details, and approved client rates to ensure invoices meet contract requirements.
- Communicate with project managers and clients to obtain missing information, resolve billing questions, and follow up on outstanding items.
- Monitor receivable balances and assist with collections by following up on overdue accounts and payment status.
- Set up and maintain project records in Replicon and QuickBooks to support accurate billing and reporting.
- Ensure billing submissions include required documentation and meet client-specific portal requirements.
- Support month-end activities, including reconciliations, tracking updates, and other accounts receivable close tasks.
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets and reporting tools to track invoicing and account status, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

Requirements:

- 2–3 years of accounts receivable, billing, or related accounting experience; candidates with 1 year may be considered with a strong background.
- Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a high-volume setting.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external clients.




- Hands-on Excel experience, including large trackers, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs.
- Familiarity with accounting and billing platforms such as QuickBooks, Replicon, Open Invoice, Cortex, SharePoint, Oracle, or SAP is an asset.
- Experience with account reconciliations, cash application, and collections, including commercial collections, is preferred.
- Dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy, task-focused environment.
