Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using hand tools and power tools, accurately diagnosing problems to implement effective repairs.
- Conduct repairs or replacements of mechanical components, ensuring all work meets safety standards and operational requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
- Assist with installation of new equipment or upgrades, following technical specifications and safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management to minimize downtime.
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in an industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environment.
- Robust mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.
- Experience operating power tools safely and effectively for various repair tasks.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Prior experience adhering to safety protocols and maintaining compliance with workplace regulations.
