Gellatly Bay Contracting is a growing excavation company looking for a dynamic, self-driven Sales Manager.

We provide residential, commercial and civil excavation and sitework throughout British Columbia and take pride in quality work, strong relationships, clear communication and maintaining a solid Team Culture.

This is a unique opportunity to accelerate your own career while directly growing alongside our Team. You’ll be our Sole Sales Powerhouse, but you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll collaborate with the Owner, Estimator, and Operations to make sure we’re pursuing the right work, with the right clients, that will lead to our collective advancement.

What You’ll Own

Build Strong Connections: Develop relationships with developers, general / civil contractors, property managers, and other industry contacts, while continuing to strengthen connections with existing and previous clients.

Find the Right Opportunities: Identify excavation opportunities, respond to incoming enquiries, and recognize which projects are worth pursuing.

Follow Through: Own the pipeline from start to finish. You’re someone who never lets a lead go cold—you’ll manage enquiries, track quotes, and use smart, professional persistence to turn a “maybe” into a signed contract.

Be the Face in the Field: Keep your eyes and ears open and hit the pavement. Meet clients, scout active job sites, network with contractors, and actively spot upcoming projects and potential clients that align with what we do best.

Work With the Team: Sales opens the door, but execution takes the whole Team.



Collaborate closely with the Owner, Estimator, and Operations to ensure client expectations are locked in, critical info gets into the right hands, and smooth handoffs turn won bids into successful projects.

The Opportunity

You bring the drive; we’ll give you the opportunity to turn it into results. This role offers the autonomy to own your sales process, the support of an experienced Team, and direct financial rewards for the results you deliver.

Compensation: Up to $110,000 per year, based on Assets, Qualifications, and Expertise.

Performance Commission: A healthy commission structure that provides the opportunity to earn $150,000+ annually.

Paid Vacation: Because working hard should come with time to recharge.
