Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our clinical team. In this role, you will provide direct front-line patient care, perform procedural nursing, and guide patients undergoing diagnostic cycle monitoring.

A strong candidate possesses exceptional communication skills, empathy, and a drive to deliver the highest standard of patient care. Prior fertility nursing experience is preferred, but comprehensive training will be provided for dedicated nurses eager to specialize in reproductive healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

- Clinical Procedures: Assist physicians with procedures; perform intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, phlebotomy, venipuncture, and wound care.
- Patient Preparation & Care: Prepare, supervise, and support patients before, during, and after procedures, including coordinating oocyte retrievals, embryo transfers, intrauterine inseminations (IUI), and donor inseminations.
- Cycle Monitoring & Education: Provide comprehensive counseling and education on individualized cycle monitoring treatment plans and prescribed medications.
- Patient Communication & Follow-up: Serve as a primary liaison between physicians and patients to communicate medical orders, clinical instructions,



and daily bloodwork results.
- Emotional Support: Offer empathetic, non-judgmental emotional support and guidance to patients navigating complex emotional journeys and fertility challenges.
- EMR & Documentation: Efficiently use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software to maintain accurate, organized, and confidential patient records in compliance with privacy guidelines.

Key Qualifications & Skills

- Registration: Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Canadian healthcare environment (1+ year of fertility or reproductive nursing experience preferred).
- Clinical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in clinical techniques, phlebotomy, and medical equipment operation.
- Interpersonal Excellence: Exceptional communication, empathy, resilience, and time management skills with the ability to handle emotionally sensitive situations professionally.
- Teamwork & Initiative: High degree of self-direction, strong critical thinking skills, and a collaborative mindset within an interdisciplinary team.

Schedule & Location Requirements

- Primary Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (8-hour and 10-hour day shifts).
- Weekend Availability: Saturday morning shifts as needed (Oakville location).
- Secondary Location: Available for shifts between 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at our Georgetown location.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel between clinic locations (Oakville & Georgetown) preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

- Starting Salary: From $38.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
