The Role

Oakhill Outdoor is looking for a motivated Landscape Management Crew Member to join our team maintaining high-end commercial and residential properties throughout HRM. This is more than basic lawn care. Our Landscape Management team delivers professional, high-standard property maintenance with a focus on quality, efficiency, organization, and attention to detail. You’ll work alongside experienced crew members and leaders completing a variety of landscape maintenance, horticultural, and property improvement work. What You'll Do

- Perform professional lawn and landscape maintenance on commercial and residential properties.
- Operate mowers, trimmers, blowers, hand tools, and other landscape equipment.
- Complete garden maintenance, pruning, planting, mulching, edging, and seasonal cleanups. Assist with sod installation, soil preparation, and other landscape improvements.
- Follow work orders, site plans, and instructions from Crew Leads and Managers.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites.
- Complete equipment and vehicle checks and help maintain tools and equipment.
- Follow company safety procedures and safe equipment operating practices.
- Identify problems and communicate them with your Crew Lead.




- Work as part of a team to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to Oakhill standards.

Working Conditions

- Primarily field-based at properties throughout HRM.
- Full time, year-round work, including winter operations.
- Regular use of hand tools, power tools, and small-engine equipment.
- Outdoor work in heat, humidity, rain, snow, cold, and dusty conditions.
- Physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, walking, and standing throughout the workday.

Qualifications

Required:

- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Dependable, punctual, and accountable.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including repeatedly lifting 50 lbs.
- Positive attitude and willingness to receive feedback and continuously improve.

Preferred, But Not Required:

- Previous landscaping, horticulture, property maintenance, construction, or related experience.
- Education or training in landscaping, horticulture, turf management, environmental sciences, or a related field.
- Experience operating commercial mowers, trimmers, blowers, or other landscape equipment.
- Knowledge of plants, pruning, garden maintenance, turf care, or landscape installation.
- Experience reading work orders, site plans, or job-specific instructions.

Previous landscape experience is an asset, but not required. We’re willing to train the right person who demonstrates reliability, work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
