Smith Tank & Trailer Repair Ltd. is seeking a highly organized, technology-driven Parts Coordinator to support our service, repair, purchasing, and inventory operations.

This is not a traditional parts counter position. We are looking for someone with exceptional computer skills, strong logical thinking, and the ability to learn technical products and components quickly.

Experience with truck, trailer, or tank parts is an asset, but candidates with strong technical aptitude, analytical skills, and advanced computer proficiency are encouraged to apply. We can teach the parts knowledge to the right person.

What You'll Do

- Source parts and materials for repair and maintenance work.
- Research products, component specifications, and supplier options.
- Work closely with technicians to identify required parts and ensure timely availability.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and purchasing information.
- Receive, verify, and organize incoming shipments.
- Manage vendor communications and negotiate pricing where appropriate.
- Track inventory usage trends and assist with purchasing decisions.
- Process returns, warranty claims, and exchanges.
- Create and maintain organized digital records and documentation.
- Use Fullbay to track inventory, analyze data, and support operational reporting.
- Utilize Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, and OneDrive to communicate and maintain documentation.
- Learn the components and terminology associated with highway tanks and trailers.

Essential Qualifications

- Microsoft 365 skills, particularly: Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive and Teams




- Strong computer literacy and the ability to learn recent software quickly.
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to research and find solutions independently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with inventory management, purchasing, administration, or operations coordination.
- Experience using ERP, inventory, service management, or maintenance software.
- Experience with AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.
- Experience in transportation, trucking, heavy equipment, manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical environments.
- Knowledge of truck, trailer, or tank components.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

- Learns technical information quickly.
- Is highly proficient with computers and software.
- Can organize large amounts of information accurately.
- Is comfortable working with data and spreadsheets.
- Takes initiative and works independently
- Is interested in learning the parts and components used in the commercial transportation industry.

Pay: $35.00-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Surrey, BC V4N 4G6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- OneDrive: 3 years (required)
- Trailer or Tank Parts: 1 year (preferred)
- Microsoft Office: 3 years (required)

Language:

- English (required)
