Smart Auto Recycling is looking for a reliable Flatbed Truck & Trailer Driver to join our team full-time.
The position involves operating a flatbed truck with a single-car trailer to pick up and transport scrap, damaged, used, and non-running vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Operate a flatbed truck with a single-car trailer
- Pick up and transport vehicles safely
- Load, unload, and properly secure vehicles
- Use straps, chains, and tie-down equipment correctly
- Complete pickups within approximately a 100 km radius
- Perform daily inspections of the truck and trailer
- Keep the truck, trailer, and equipment clean and maintained
- Communicate professionally with customers and yard staff
- Follow all road and workplace safety requirements
Requirements
- Valid Ontario driver's licence appropriate for the truck and trailer
- AR or AZ licence preferred
- Experience driving a flatbed truck and trailer preferred
- Experience hauling vehicles is an asset
- Must be comfortable backing up and maneuvering a truck and trailer
- Clean driving record
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Able to work independently
Pay
$20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience
