Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized SHIPPING MANAGER for the NIGHT SHIFT to lead our warehouse distribution operations with energy and precision. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of shipping activities during the night hours, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities

- Supervise night shift shipping operations, including order picking, packing, and dispatching, ensuring all shipments meet quality and accuracy standards.
- Coordinate with warehouse management systems
- Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a motivated and productive environment.
- Oversee forklift operations and heavy lifting activities safely, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels, process purchase orders, and manage packaging supplies to support seamless distribution processes.
- Implement process improvements using data analysis skills and analysis techniques to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce errors.
- Maintain detailed documentation of shipping activities, incident reports, and shift logs; ensure accuracy in all records for compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve shipping issues promptly, enhancing overall client satisfaction.




- Ensure adherence to safety standards, including proper lifting techniques and equipment handling; conduct regular safety audits during the night shift.
- Must have experience using propriety software from the KTS systems Group, namely Accuterm for order entry, data entry, and invoice printing

Skills

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in French are a plus for diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as ERP systems like SAP or AS400.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in supervising warehouse or manufacturing teams; proven team management skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain management, warehouse distribution, e-commerce logistics, and packaging processes.
- Skilled in process improvement methodologies such as continuous improvement initiatives; data analysis skills are highly valued.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred.
- Strong computer skills across Windows platforms; experience with Microsoft PowerPoint for reporting is advantageous.
- Effective time management skills to meet tight deadlines during night shifts while maintaining high safety standards.
