KTI Utility Services is happy to announce a major project with the District of Saanich and are seeking self-starting individuals to add to their field installation team! If you consider yourself to be an independent worker, with a great attitude, then this job is for you!

The position requires mechanical aptitude and a good understanding of hand tools. Your primary role will be to replace new radio transmitters, install water meters, and record the required data on a handheld device.

What’s in it for you?

- Full-time employment, 40hr/week average, with EI and CPP deductions
- Salary: Base of $22.88 per hour to $40.00 per hour with Piece Rate Bonuses
- Location: District of Saanich, BC
- Contract Length: approximately 2.5 years (with possible project extensions)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Business KMs paid at .68 per KM, paid monthly
- Opportunities for advancement within KTI and the potential for travel to work on projects all over Canada

What would your day look like as a field installer with KTI?

- Install radios and water meters with the majority of work being outdoors.
- Coordinate installation scheduling and meet quality/quantity and safety requirements.
- Enter data and collect images through an Electronic Work Order on a handheld device.
- Self manage assigned orders to completion.
- Work in compliance with Health and Safety Policy/Procedures.
- Communicate updates to residents with top-notch customer service.
- Work on 18 installs per day.
- Any other duties which may be assigned to you from time to time by your manager.

Who is our ideal candidate?

- Candidate who wants to be paid for the work they complete (i.e., the more you install = more pay)
- Construction/Trades/Laborer: 1 year +




- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Good attitude, along with a positive mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Able to stand on your feet, bend or stoop for a prolonged period
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Previous water meter / radio installation experience is an asset

Mandatory Requirements:

- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (with valid insurance)
- Mandatory clean criminal background check and drivers abstract
- Car Insurance: Business Use/Business Endorsement required, $1 million liability coverage
