RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations & Compliance

- Oversee day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring a secure, nurturing, and well-run environment
- Ensure full compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and all applicable provincial licensing requirements, including ratios, inspections, and documentation
- Ensure all centre operations align with Tiny Hoppers policies, procedures, and franchise standards
- Maintain accurate records for licensing, health & safety, and staff/child files
- Monitor and report on occupancy, staffing, budget, incident tracking

Staff Leadership

- Hire, train, and supervise Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs), Early Childhood Assistance (ECAs) and support staff
- Build and maintain staff schedules that meet ratio requirements at all times
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities for educators
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture

Program Oversight

- Oversee program quality and curriculum delivery across all rooms (Toddler through Preschool)




- Ensure programming aligns with early learning frameworks and Tiny Hoppers standards
- Evaluate and improve classroom processes and procedures

Financial & Administrative

- Manage the centre's budget and financial resources, including expense tracking and reporting
- Oversee administrative systems and ensure accurate, up-to-date recordkeeping

Family & Community Relations

- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, addressing concerns and communicating centre updates
- Represent the centre at community events, meetings, and industry functions
- Stay current on industry trends and early childhood education best practices

QUALIFICATIONS

- RECE (Registered Early Childhood Educator) designation in good standing — required
- Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Proven leadership experience in a licensed childcare setting
- Strong working knowledge of the CCEYA and provincial licensing requirements
- Experience hiring, training, and managing ECE staff
- Strong financial management and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with families and staff
- Comfortable using technology/software for scheduling, reporting, and centre management
- Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
