Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Accounting Administrator to support our Accounts Payable and Accounting teams across multiple entities.This role is heavily focused on reconciliations, transaction accuracy, and structured data entry. You will play a key role in maintaining clean financial records, resolving discrepancies, and supporting operational departments through timely and accurate financial administration. This position includes development opportunity for someone looking to grow into an accountant role, with hands-on exposure to intercompany accounting, inventory tracing, and month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Intercompany Reconciliations
- Perform intercompany and branch-level reconciliations to identify discrepancies and outstanding variances
- Investigate differences between branches and entities and follow up with the appropriate teams to resolve issues
- Prepare reconciliation and variance information for review and follow up
- Ensure resolved variances are properly recorded, coded, and cleared
Vendor & Account Reconciliations
- Assist the Accounting team with vendor statement and other account reconciliations as required
- Review transactions and supporting documentation to identify missing, incorrect, or outstanding items
- Investigate discrepancies and communicate with internal teams to support timely resolution
Transaction & Expense Administration
- Process and review a variety of accounting transactions and expenses for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate approvals
- Ensure transactions are properly coded and allocated to the appropriate branch, entity, and account
- Reconcile related accounts and investigate discrepancies or unidentified transactions
- Prepare journal entries and accounting adjustments as required
- Maintain accurate supporting documentation and records for transactions and expenses
Purchasing & Accounts Payable Support
- Review purchasing activity and supporting documentation for compliance with established company procedures
- Identify exceptions and follow up with the appropriate departments as needed
- Assist the Accounts Payable team with invoice entry, coding, and related tasks
- Provide general accounting support to the team as required
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business, or related field (or working toward completion)
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Strong reconciliation skills and high attention to detail
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience with ERP/accounting software preferred
- Ability to investigate and resolve transactional discrepancies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with team members and other departments

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $48,000.00-$53,000.00 per year
