Pediatric Communicative Disorders Assistant

Vitality Kids Family Physiotherapy and Wellness Centre

Join a team that has fun every day, builds meaningful careers, and helps children and families achieve their "WHY." ✨

Vitality Kids is growing, and we're looking for a Pediatric Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) to join our pediatric clinic. This role starts as a part-time caseload with a transparent path to full-time as we continue to grow — an ideal fit for a CDA who wants to build something meaningful.

If you love helping children find their voice through play, repetition, and connection — and you thrive as part of a close-knit clinical team — this is the place for you.

We're building something special: a warm, collaborative pediatric environment that supports children and youth across a range of communication and language needs — including children on the autism spectrum (ASD). Working hand-in-hand with our Speech-Language Pathologists, you'll bring treatment plans to life, help children practise and generalize new skills, and make a lasting impact in everyday life.

Who We Are

At Vitality, we're a team that truly cares — about our clients, our families, and each other.

We express care in our roles:

- As healthcare practitioners, we care deeply about children's communication, development, and well-being
- As coaches, we empower children and families through education, play, and skill-building
- As service providers, we deliver an exceptional, family-centred experience
- As team members, we support one another and contribute to a positive, growth-minded culture

Our work is guided by The Three Cs of Care:

- Connect Compassionately
- Communicate Clearly
- Coach Enthusiastically

Your Role

As a Pediatric Communicative Disorders Assistant at Vitality Kids, working under the direction and supervision of a registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will:

- Deliver individual and small-group therapy sessions to children and youth with speech, language, communication, and social communication needs— following treatment plans established by the supervising SLP
- Bring therapy goals to life through creative, play-based, and engaging activities
- Prepare and adapt therapy materials, visual supports, and home practice resources
- Collect progress data and complete clear, timely session documentation
- Communicate regularly with your supervising SLP about each child's progress, flagging when goals or plans may need review
- Coach parents and caregivers on home practice strategies as directed by the SLP
- Collaborate with families, educators, and our multidisciplinary team (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Psychotherapy)
- Contribute to the growth and culture of our pediatric team

Assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plan decisions remain with the supervising SLP, in keeping with CASLPO guidance on the use of support personnel.

Your Profile

- Graduate of a recognized Communicative Disorders Assistant post-graduate program (or equivalent education and experience)
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric communication support, including ASD
- Compassionate, patient, playful, and family-centred approach
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Comfortable receiving feedback and working collaboratively under clinical supervision
- Willingness to work a mix of daytime, after-school, or early evening hours
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
- Excited to grow with the team and build a long-term career in pediatrics

Why Vitality Kids?

- Part-time caseload with a clear path to full-time as your schedule fills
- Built-in mentorship and clinical supervision — bi-weekly set meetings with our Speech-Language Pathologist
- Hands-on learning alongside a multidisciplinary pediatric team
- Competitive compensation with growth opportunities
- Support in building and maintaining your caseload
- Company-sponsored team events and appreciation celebrations
- No admin work — we handle scheduling, billing, and invoicing
- Beautiful, purpose-built pediatric spaces
- Collaborative, values-driven team culture

Take Action

If you admire who we are, believe in compassionate pediatric care, and love helping children communicate and connect through play — we'd love to meet you.

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
