Summary

We are seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team in Sault Ste. Marie for various seasonal projects which will lead directly into winter snow removal operations.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and skid steers
- Perform site preparation, grading, trenching, and backfilling
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance
- Follow safety protocols and ensure job site compliance
- Collaborate with site supervisors and crew members to meet project goals
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of work performed
- Operate front-end loaders for snow removal during winter months, including night shifts
- Be available on an on-call basis for snow removal and hauling operations

Qualifications:

- Valid DZ or AZ license preferred with 5 years experience and a clean driver's abstract
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction and snow removal




- Solid understanding of safety procedures and equipment operation
- Ability to read site plans and follow instructions
- Physically fit and able to work in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work night shifts and be on-call for snow removal and hauling
- Experience in snow removal operations including sanding and plowing is an asset
