Position Description
The responsibly of a laborer may vary each day in rapid-paced environment. Working safely efficiently and as part of a team. They may include cleaning and preparing a job site, loading and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools and machines such as torches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment. Some travel will be required.
Experience, Qualifications & Education
- Drivers License required
- Marine Experience specifically ship repair
- Mechanical background (would be an asset)
- Must have good communication skills to be able to interact verbally with peers
- Health and Safety mindset
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment
- Possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
Working Conditions
- Perform physical labour, lifting up to 50-60lbs
- You can be exposed to environmental conditions such as hot and cold temperatures, work areas that are muddy, greasy, dusty, wet and noisy, and areas with frequent vibration
- Work is performed in all weather conditions
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment, such as a hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, respirators, safety shoes, and other job specific protective equipment.
Confined Space Entry Certificate (would be an asset)
