1. Completes labour duties related to Public Works operations, i.e., Flagman, road works, water and sewer works, manual snow removal and sanding, wingman, building and grounds maintenance and restoration work, i.e., asphalt, sodding, curb stop repairs and concrete repairs.

2. Performs a variety of tasks using tools and equipment necessary to complete general municipal maintenance, i.e., compressor, jackhammer, vibratory rollers, pumps, tar kettles, chain saws, plow attachments, etc.

3. Reports problems encountered while doing job assignments.

4. Responsible for tools and equipment issued and reports problems with equipment.

5. Works in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, the City Health and Safety policies and procedures, as well as any established industry guidelines,



including the use of personal protective equipment.

6. Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

- High School Diploma
- Must have a valid class “DZ” Ontario Driver’s License
- Ability to understand and follow instructions

· Satisfactory work performance record

· Ability to perform all duties assigned
