Health & Happiness: Counselling and Wellness (HHCW) is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our growing team in Vaughan, Ontario.

This position is a high priority for us: you will be pioneering the providing of psychological assessment and diagnostic services at HHCW. We are actively expanding our services in 2026, and psychological assessments and diagnosis are at the top of our list!!!

Are you somebody who loves to be the first person to do something? If so, then we want to hear from you. We are looking for someone who is excited by the opportunity to help build and grow this service within an established multidisciplinary psychotherapy clinic. There is significant demand in our community for assessments, particularly for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, and other mental health and neurodevelopmental concerns.

This is not simply a position where we are looking to fill an existing schedule. We are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of the clinic and help establish this area of practice as HHCW continues to grow.

About Us

Health & Happiness: Counselling and Wellness is a growing mental health clinic located in Vaughan, Ontario. Our doors opened in 2019, and we have continued to expand our team and services ever since.

We currently provide individual, couples, family, parent and play therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Our team also has extensive experience supporting neurodiverse patients of all ages, helping with school-related issues (JK-12, Post-Secondary), family separation, and many others.

Our philosophy is straightforward: mental health care needs to be tailored for each unique person and situation. We tailor our approach to what our patients need.

HHCW is a cohesive team. We have an open-door culture when clinicians are not with clients, encourage consultation and collaboration, and have experienced very low clinician turnover.

As we continue to grow, psychological assessment and diagnostic services are an important next step for HHCW.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for providing psychological assessment and diagnostic services within their areas of competence. Depending on qualifications and experience, these may include:

- Psychoeducational assessments
- ADHD assessments
- Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments
- Learning Disability assessments
- Psychological and psychodiagnostic assessments
- Assessment of anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns
- Cognitive, behavioural, emotional and executive-function assessment where appropriate
- Clinical interviews with clients, parents, caregivers and other relevant individuals
- Selection,



administration, scoring and interpretation of appropriate standardized assessment instruments
- Integration of assessment results, clinical history and collateral information
- Preparation of clear, comprehensive and professionally appropriate psychological assessment reports
- Providing feedback sessions to clients and/or families
- Making appropriate recommendations and referrals based on assessment findings
- Communicating with physicians, schools and other professionals when appropriate and with proper client consent
- Maintaining accurate, timely and complete clinical documentation
- Maintaining all professional, ethical and regulatory requirements associated with psychological assessment and diagnosis
- Staying current with relevant research, assessment instruments and evidence-based practices

Depending on your interests, availability, and client demand, opportunities may also exist to provide psychotherapy or other psychological services through the clinic. However, assessment and diagnosis will be the primary focus of this role.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

- Be registered and in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) as a Psychologist
- If you are not yet authorized for independent practice, you will be under appropriate clinical supervision.
- Be authorized to provide the psychological services required for the populations and areas of practice they will be assessing
- Have demonstrated education, training and clinical experience in psychological assessment and diagnosis
- Be able to provide documentation demonstrating appropriate qualifications and competencies for the assessments they intend to offer
- Have experience administering, scoring and interpreting standardized psychological assessment instruments
- Demonstrate robust clinical interviewing and diagnostic skills
- Have strong written communication skills and experience preparing comprehensive psychological reports
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Maintain professional liability insurance of at least $5 million

Experience assessing ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder,



Learning Disabilities and psychoeducational concerns is particularly desirable.

Additional languages are also an asset.

- This is an Independent Contractor position.
- Both in-person and virtual work will be required, depending on the nature of the assessment and the needs of the client.
- HHCW will provide the clinical space and clinic software required to provide services through the practice.
- Administrative and intake support is provided by the clinic.
- You will have access to HHCW's clinic amenities, including a full kitchen and furnished professional offices.
- Parking is free.

- We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a team rather than simply rent space and operate independently within the clinic.
- Because this is a new service for HHCW, there is an opportunity for the successful candidate to provide input into how our assessment services are developed as the program grows.

HHCW already has an established psychotherapy practice, administrative infrastructure, existing clients and community relationships. Our goal is to add high-quality psychological assessment and diagnostic services so clients and families can access more of the care they need through one clinic.

For the right psychologist, this is an opportunity to establish and grow an assessment practice without having to independently build the administrative, marketing and operational infrastructure that normally comes with starting one.

We are particularly interested in someone who is collaborative, clinically thorough and excited about helping develop a new service.

Compensation note: The compensation range shown in this posting represents the approximate hourly equivalent of HHCW's contractor compensation model. Because psychological assessments involve varying amounts of interviewing, testing, scoring, interpretation, report writing and feedback, the effective hourly compensation will vary depending on the assessment performed. The range has been provided to make the Indeed posting as accurate and transparent as possible.

Pay: $150.00-$190.00 per hour
