Position Responsibilities

As a Crossing Guard, you will:

- Help children, students, families, and other pedestrians safely cross designated streets.
- Use the provided stop sign paddle and safety equipment to maintain a safe crossing area.
- Monitor traffic and ensure vehicles stop safely while pedestrians are crossing.
- Remain alert to traffic conditions, pedestrians, and potential hazards.




- Communicate clearly and respectfully with students, parents, drivers, and other community members.
- Encourage pedestrians to follow safe crossing procedures.
- Report accidents, incidents, hazards, or other concerns as required.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for your assigned crossing location.
- Attend required training sessions and meetings.
- Maintain a professional, approachable, and courteous presence at all times.
