Our client is a leading distributor of construction materials with locations across Canada and the U.S. They are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to develop customer relationships and grow sales within an assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

- Prospect for new customers and develop existing accounts.
- Build relationships with contractors, installers, and other industry contacts.
- Conduct regular job-site visits and customer meetings.
- Prepare and follow up on project quotations.
- Stay informed on roofing products, pricing, market trends, and competitor activity.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support customer needs.
- Meet established sales targets and maintain accurate customer/project records.
- Provide responsive service throughout the quoting, billing, payment, and delivery process.

Requirements

- 2–3 years of sales experience; construction industry experience preferred.
- Background in business development, prospecting, and networking.
- Comfortable making cold calls and identifying new sales opportunities.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings,



specifications, and technical information.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required to meet customer needs.
- Valid driver’s licence, clean driving record, and ability to travel within the territory.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and CRM systems.
